Leatherneck Marksmanship was founded in 2026 with the sole purpose of teaching the fundamentals of rifle and pistol marksmanship to young men & women enlisting in the United States Armed Forces and instilling in them the skills and confidence necessary to succeed throughout their military careers.
Based in Palmer, Alaska, Leatherneck Marksmanship works directly with recruiters to identify potential trainees. Selected candidates will be enrolled in a day-long course, at no cost to them, to be held at the Birchwood Recreation & Shooting Park.
All classes will be taught by SSgt Michael Chiolero, USMC Ret. SSgt Chiolero served as an Armorer and Primary Marksmanship Instructor from 1999 to 2007. Over the course of his career, he trained over 3,000 enlisted men and, as a civilian, is an NRA certified pistol instructor (184154577).
7-8am - Formation at the Range
8-12pm - Classroom Instruction
12-1pm - Break for lunch (provided)
1-5pm - Range Instruction
**Each class will be limited to 4 trainees, working in pairs.
